Prepositions
Before moving on to the next lessons and seeing new grammatical topics, it is useful to become familiar with a few Persian prepositions. The most common Persian prepositions are included in the following examples.
دیروز محسن در تهران بود.
علی از پیش ما رفت.
سینا با مادرش به خانهی ما آمد.
از مدرسه تا خانه دویدم.
آنها برای کشورشان جنگیدند.
Mohsen was in Tehran yesterday.
Ali left us. (
lit.
Ali went from near us.)
Sina came to our house with his mother.
I ran [all the way] from school to home.
They fought for their country.
